Senior Sales Manager - Financial Services

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join our fast-paced Loan Sales division within a financially solid, high performing company. Due to the current economic landscape and the downturn in commercial real estate, there is a strong market-wide need for Note Sales expertise, as the pipeline will be robust for years to come. 

The ideal candidate will have significant business development experience building relationships within bank OREO, CMBS servicers, workouts, and/or special asset departments. They will also have worked in or sourced business from  bank foreclosure groups and be well-versed in pitching to the financial services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and grow outstanding bank relationships.
  • Facilitate loan sales, bank foreclosed assets, and excess corporate real estate.
  • Coordinate logistics of efforts to sell bank loan notes.
  • Source and solicit business from nationwide banks.
  • Secure distressed commercial loans to sell by convincing bankers of the value of sale vs. loan workout.
  • Work with internal team to determine if loan should be brokered or auctioned.
  • Increase odds of selling loans in the marketplace for the optimal price.

Must Haves:

 

  • 5-10 years’ experience in banking, business development, loan sales and/or real estate.
  • Strategic knowledge of loan sales.
  • Possess the understanding and ability to price loans.
  • Ability to underwrite a potential loan.
  • Hands-on salesperson with the ability to grow, build, and mentor a team.
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred:

  • Series licensing

Travel:

If you are in the Chicagoland area, expected travel is 25-40%. If you are out of the area, expected travel is 50%.
