Digital Marketing Specialist

General Purpose of Position                                               

Seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual interested in bringing their digital marketing expertise to a growing marketing team. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone with three+ years of experience looking to develop their passion for and skills in digital marketing while also assisting in a variety of other marketing needs. The team supports a collaborative real estate sales team and is small, which means the occasional wearing many hats.

 

Candidates will have a self-starter attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn/ grow their respective skillset. He/she will be joining a tightly knit team, so being a team player is of utmost importance, whether it means jumping in wherever needed or taking on something out of his/her wheelhouse. A positive attitude is a must along with strong organizational, time management, multi-tasking and business acumen in addition to skills specific to this role, as described below.

 

The team resides in the Chicago area (Northbrook, IL) and has flexibility regarding working from home and at the office. The person in this role may be fully remote or share in the hybrid model similar to their colleagues if living in the area. If out of state, they may be asked to attend company gatherings/meetings in person no more than two times a year.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities                                                           

  • Property Marketing Production (focus in digital marketing tasks): communications, project planning, collateral development (flyer, press release, signage, external eblast, website listing and management, landing page, social media, case study), utilization/implementation of set procedures/processes/standardizations/templates with active role in establishing best practices
  • Coordinate property-specific tasks with marketing team (both ops and production): websites, content development, collateral, project planning
  • Website listing inventory management (monthly) – ownership of process alongside Marketing Coordinator
  • Property-specific and departmental Trello board creation, utilization and/or management

     

  • Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
  • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners
  •  

  • Business development/dept. brand awareness assistance where needed
  • Design work: where needed
  • Print: coordinating print proofs, estimates and orders
  • Social media platform/presence oversight and management (all accounts)
  • Social media automation tool management
  • Assist in the planning and execution of web, SEO/SEM, database marketing, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns
  • Measure and report performance of digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs) where needed
  • Help identify trends and insights and assist with optimization of performance
  • Brainstorm new and creative digital growth strategies with marketing leadership
  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues to create landing pages and optimize user experience
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
  • Assist in identifying critical conversion points and drop off points and optimize user funnels
  • Evaluate emerging technologies

                  

Education and Experience                                                                             

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in digital media, marketing or related field
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing - within the CRE industry a plus
  • Some experience managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns
  • Knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (i.e., Google Analytics, Net Results, Sitefinity, etc.)
  • Some experience setting up and optimizing campaigns on all major search engines as well as landing pages and user funnels
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with visual communication principles
  • Familiarity with web design and content management systems
  • Understanding of marketing research and statistical analysis
